Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet like many "All Volunteer" 501c3 nonprofit organizations are only able to operate and accomplish its mission due to the generosity, time, and energy provided by those who wish to make a difference in our society. All of our volunteers are deeply appreciated and are critical in the daily operations of our organization. The “State Support Team" (SST) structure has been established to enhance our presence in each state to better support our military service members, veterans, and their beloved pets on behalf of Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pet.
Basic Qualifications:
Current State Support Team Opportunities:(click on name for full description) Foster Home Coordinator: Responsible for assisting a Military Service Member (MSM) in recommending a potential foster home which closely emulates the pet(s) living environment and acting as the liaison between the Military Service Member and the agreed to foster home. Foster Home Interviewer: Conducts the initial interview with potential Foster Home caregivers within their state or designated area within their state. Foster Home Services Liaison: Acts as the liaison between foster homes (Guardian Angels) that are currently caring for a Military Service Member’s (MSM) pet(s) and the state or national level Foster Home Coordinator (FHC). Community Outreach Liaison: Acts the outreach coordinator for the organization at various events and community organizations within the state as well as with local media outlets. State Director: The State Director acts as the liaison between their respective state and Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet by leading a volunteer support team.
Note: The need for each of theses positions will depend on the state you are living in. Note: Volunteer applications submitted by Minnesota residents are forwarded to our "Affiliated" Minnesota chapter (Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet - Minnesota Chapter 32).
