Forming a Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet "Affiliated" Chapter
Your affiliation with
“Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pet” (GASP) and using the “Guardian Angels for
Soldier’s Pet” Establishing a chapter requires motivation and persistence. The National GASP "Chapter Relations Coordinator" is available to support you during the initial development for your Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet affiliated chapter and after the affiliated chapter has been approved as an official affiliated chapter. Requirements to be an affiliated GASP Chapter: Assistance and the "How To" will be provided to those who prepares, submits, and agrees to operate as defined by 1. Official FULL NAME of the affiliated chapter is assigned by the National GASP organization. 2. Each chapter is required to file the appropriate documents to incorporate in their respective state with their Secretary of State office and pay the applicable filing fee. 3. Each chapter is required to have a Board of Officers/Directors of 5 members (President, Vice President, Sec/Treasurer, and 2 Directors) 4. Each chapter is required to obtain their own Federal Tax ID by preparing the IRS SS4 form after receiving their approved "Articles of Incorporation" documents from the state's Sec of State office. 5. Each chapter agrees to provide the required documentation and written request as defined in the IRS Pub 57 (pages 6-8) as an affiliated chapter operating under the National GASP 501 (c) (3) Group Exemption Letter. NOTE: Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet based in the state of Arkansas is known as the "Central" organization for IRS "Group Exemption Letter" purposes and the affiliated chapter agreeing to operate under our 501c3 tax exempt status is known as a "Subordinate" organization. 6. Each chapter after being recognized as an GASP affiliated chapter will file the appropriate documents with their state's Attorney General's office and and documents required for state income tax and/or sales tax allowed exemptions. 7. Each chapter agrees to operate and represent Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet in their specific state as defined in the "GASP and Affiliated Chapter Written Agreement" (click here to see and print copy of written agreement sample for your review). Interested parties wishing to form a Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet "affiliated" chapter may do so by preparing the "Chapter Recognition Application" available here and sending to the address shown on the application. NOTE: Receipt of a completed "Chapter Recognition Application" shall be regarded as an expression of interest, not a commitment or acceptance to being a Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet "affiliated" chapter.
